Jurors took about 16 hours to reach their unanimous decisions to both counts.
Standage had pleaded not guilty to the killings.
Connections of Mr Jarvis laughed, cheered and clapped as the first verdict was delivered before Justice Stephen Estcourt called for silence immediately.
Mr Thorn's family wept silently as the second verdict was delivered, before hugging police prosecutors outside court.
Standage remained expressionless as the verdicts were handed down.
The Supreme Court hearing has adjourned briefly while Victim Impact Statements are prepared.
Sixty-two-year-old Standage will be eligible for parole in 24 years.
