Tasmanian wage earners worse off: ABS

Wages figures released this morning by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that the average full-time adult Tasmanian's ordinary time earnings have dropped to $1249.90 a week in trend terms.
This is down from $1262.30 a week at the same time last year.
Comparatively, the average Australian has enjoyed a 2.4 per cent increase over the past 12 months to $1453.90 a week.
