Constable Nigel Housego said police are seeking the driver or any passengers of a vehicle that was travelling north on the highway at 6.10pm on Friday, July 11.
Brittany Goss was struck by a southbound Nissan sedan and and died later that evening in the Launceston General Hospital.
Constable Housego said that before the collision, police believe that a northbound vehicle has driven through the area and has then overtaken a small white Manion's Coach south of Beaconsfield.
Police believe the occupants of the vehicle may be able to provide some witness information to assist them with their investigation.
Police ask that anyone who was an occupant or driving that vehicle to contact Constable Housego or Senior Constable Michal Rybka at Northern Crash Investigation Services on 6336 3936 or 6336 3701.
