Some Launceston children spent the final day of their school holidays at Tasmania Zoo, with some of the facility's newest faces.
Two-month-old Buzzie the alpaca and four-mouth-old Koda the native pademelon were met with smiles galore, while zookeeper Elisha Palfreyman relished the opportunity to hand- feed Buzzie.
"He's actually been completely bottle-raised because his mother abandoned him," she said.
"I had a really good time and I was quite happy playing with the animals all day."
Ms Palfreyman said the sunshine attracted a strong crowd through the gates, but her personal highlight was the affection she received from Buzzie.
"He just loves cuddles," she said.
"All he wants to do is lay on you, jump on you and knock you over."
