AFL spokesman James Avery yesterday said the league was aware that the Kangaroos were on the hunt for another sponsor, as it also looks to boost its games in the Tasmanian capital from two to three.
"The AFL is aware that the RACT will not be continuing its Hobart match-day sponsorship with the North Melbourne Football Club after the completion of the current agreement this year," Avery said.
"The AFL will continue to support North Melbourne's efforts in endeavouring to secure sponsors and funding partners to ensure they continue playing matches in Hobart beyond this season."
The sponsorship, worth $250,000, will continue until the end of this season, when North Melbourne's initial arrangement to play two games a season expires.
RACT Insurance had been a match-day sponsor since the club started hosting matches at the ground in 2012.
The club confirmed in April that it would look to increase its stay in the city from two to three matches a season from 2015.
It will play St Kilda in Hobart on July 12 and Adelaide on August 23.
