Vandals have caused more than $10,000 damage to the Port Dalrymple School library at George Town.

Tasmania Police say that about 4pm on Saturday, a number of offenders gained entry to the school library on Agnes Street.
Police say that once inside, the offenders caused extensive damage to books, computers, a photocopier and other equipment and furniture items.
The value of the damage caused is estimated to be in the vicinity of $10,000.
