The Tasman Highway near Pyengana is now clear with both lanes operating. Police report that there are still trees over the road near the Pancake Parlour at St Marys.
EARLIER: The Tasman Highway near Pyengana is partially blocked after high winds blew trees down onto the road.
Police this morning advised that there were trees across the road 10 kilometres north of Pyengana, with a lane blocked in two spots 200 metres apart.
Trees have also fallen across the road around Elephants Pass.
While that road is open, drivers are urged to exercise caution.
Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources have been notified and are working to clear the road.
