A man with his face covered and brandishing a knife entered The Little Shop in Thomas St and demanded money.

He escaped with a small amount of money and ran down Thomas Street, then headed towards the East Devonport CBD. 

No one was injured in the incident.

The offender is described as about 170cm tall and wearing dark-coloured heavy duty work trousers and a turquoise blue hooded jacket.
