After four days of intense racing in forests near Rhylstone in NSW, Launceston brothers Brodie, 19, and Ashley, 17, Nankervis and Anna Dowling, 17, of Hobart, were announced in the team of 12 to represent Australia.

Brodie, who is studying physiotherapy at Monash University, competed at the Junior World Championships in 2012 and 2013 and in his final year as a junior is delighted to be heading to Bulgaria.

Ashley Nankervis and Anna Dowling will be competing for the first time at the Junior World Championships. Ashley is currently in year 12 at Launceston College, as is Dowling at Rosny College in Hobart.

Dowling is the daughter of Mike Dowling, an Australian representative at the World Orienteering Championships near Bendigo in 1985.
