HOLLYWOOD murder mysteries will be the theme for this year's Whitelion Tasmanian Bailout Appeal, with residents invited to don their best suit or frock for a night of games, drinks and fun.

The annual event sees an evening of entertainment go towards raising money for Whitelion's mentoring and employment program, with clues given throughout the tonight to reveal the evening's ``murderer''.
Whitelion regional manager Toby Mahoney said the idea behind the night was about fun for a good cause.
``We have a Hollywood theme, so dress in a suit and tie, or an Oscars night type look - anything relating to the Hollywood theme,'' he said.
``I think it'll be fun because it's going to a great cause and everyone loves to dress up.
``It's a night out and a chance to get dressed up.
``Everyone loves a great night and it's something different. You don't often see murder mystery themes.''
