Crossroads sees one fatality

TASMANIA has recorded one fatality for the Easter holiday road toll.

A 32-year-old woman from China died in a crash in the state's North-West on Thursday.

With the weather turning wet across most of the state, police have urged motorists to not speed and to drive to the conditions.

Operation Crossroads continues across the state until midnight on Monday.

As of midnight on Thursday, police had conducted 3404 random breath tests and caught 11 drink-drivers.

Sixty-one drug tests had been conducted with seven positive results returned.

One vehicle has been clamped-confiscated, 31 speeding fines have been issued and 97 traffic infringement notices.
