Latrobe's Ben ``Bob'' Aherne, of Latrobe, was shot dead by  Ulverstone's John Williams Clements in his ex-partner's home. 

Clements, 46, also shot and severely injured Mr Aherne's girlfriend Christina Rowlands before turning the gun on himself. 

The couple were targeted after going to the assistance of Clement's ex-partner, who had been assaulted by the gunman. 

The inquest will be held in Devonport Magistrates Court on June 2.
