Allsopp was to have kitted up for Launceston City in this weekend's Victory League clash with Devonport Strikers, but after receiving a knock to his back in a Victorian Premier League match on Saturday, his return to the club will now take place on Saturday, April 26 against Tilford Zebras.
``It is not a major injury and the recovery is going well,'' the former A-League golden boot winner said today.
``My decision not to travel to Launceston this weekend is more preventative, as I want to give my best possible effort for (Launceston) City.''
The match against Tilford Zebras will be played at Mitsubishi Park, Prospect, from 5pm.
The 35-year-old former Manchester City striker played for City in a Northern derby last season, which City lost 6-0 in atrocious weather conditions.
