The 21-year-old said it was the $100 prizemoney that lured him to enter the competition against eight others and in front of more than 1000 people.
``I don't really have much of an embarrassment gland and I thought I could have a chance of winning, so I gave it a go,'' Hearn said.
He said he didn't know about the competition before he got to Sexpo in Hobart last weekend and heard the announcement at least three times before entering.
``It was terrifying,'' he said.
``But once the music started I think the adrenaline kicked in.''
However, it's not something the owner of his own personal training company will be giving up his day job for.
``I've been offered three parties next month, but I don't think Jess [my partner] would be too happy with that,'' he said.
``And in front of 1000 people, being a bit of an idiot, is a little different to doing a hen's night.''
Up to 12,000 people attended the three-day health, sexuality and lifestyle exhibition at the Princes Wharf No.?th1.
Organisers hailed the event a success and said it should return to the state within two years.
The event featured more than 100 exhibitors offering everything from advice, to sexy showbags and adult toys, plus a full program of live entertainment.
Hearn said he attended the event with his partner for a bit of a laugh.
``It was hilarious, I'd go back,'' he said.
