The woman behind not-for-profit organisation Just Cats Tasmania urged people to attend Sunday's Cat and Kitten Expo to help raise desperately needed funds for her Longford shelter and adoption service.
She said people would also have the chance to ask questions about their pets in a non-judgmental environment.
``People can ask any questions, and we'll be showing different breeds,'' Mrs Beech said.
Devon rexes, Burmese and Russian blues will be exhibited alongside domestic breeds.
Sunday's event is Just Cats' biggest fund-raiser and awareness-raising event.
There have been times Just Cats has housed more than 100 feral, abandoned or unwanted cats and kittens.
``The most important thing is desexing,'' Mrs Beech said.
A sausage sizzle and pony rides will also feature on Sunday.
Just Cats Tasmania is grateful for donations, volunteers and foster carers.
