National Youth Week, an annual celebration of people aged 12 to 25, is this year centred around the theme of ``Our Voice. Our Impact''.
Activities are planned throughout the state during the week.
One Ravenswood activity is centred around improving the self-esteem of girls.
Ravenswood Neighbourhood House incoming manager Nettie Burr said a survey would be conducted about issues girls faced in the neighbourhood.
``Kids just need opportunities,'' she said.
