The crash occurred on the Bass Highway at Oaks Road before 9.30am.
The woman's car was significantly damaged.
A second car was also involved in the incident.

The semi-trailer was carrying a shipping container.
Heavy rain added to the traffic congestion as police diverted vehicles down off-ramps.
Police expect this part of the highway to be closed for several hours.
