A powerful performance from midfielder Kalyn Eady led the Suns to a 125-point win - slotting through seven majors to solely outscore Perth, who only managed 5.6 (36).
Danny Bennet kicked four goals, while coach Josh Bennett managed three in a match that had eight goal scorers.
Jono Sturzaker was also good for the division's newest side.
Josh Bennett said he was pleased with the result, despite kicking poorly in front of goal.
"We were just happy to come away with the win, but to do it the way we did was a credit to the boys," he said.
"The skill level we displayed today was really high, so if we could keep that going it would be great."
Perth recruit Tim Crawford was its top goalkicker with three, with Damien Rhind his team's best.

FINGAL posted an emotion- charged 14-point victory over Uni-Mowbray in honour of teammate Josh Smart, who died this week.
Country Blues' coach Matthew Lowe said on a tough day for the club, Jono Smart stepped up with an absolutely outstanding performance.
Michael Rainbow booted four goals, Aaron Smith converted two along with Gavin Love.
"The group won for Josh and both the seniors and reserves tried their bloody hearts out," Lowe said.
"Everything sort of went out the window today and we just came down here to just nut out a win the best way we could.
"To come away with a win today after what's happened - I couldn't be prouder."
Among the Eagles best were Jake Laskey, Isaac Peters and Tom Hartley.
Evandale 6.13 (49) Launceston St Pats 12.17 (89)
ST PATS coach Jacob Lowe said his side's fade out was somewhat disappointing, but overall he was pleased with a 40-point win over Evandale away from home.
Paul Kelly was St Pats' best through the middle kicking two goals and recruits Dan Withers and Brad Rayner also played well.
Matthew Williams kicked four majors up front.
"We were up by 50 points at half-time," Lowe said.
"To Evandale's credit they stuck with us to create a good game."
Evandale's Bradley Scott- Prewer toiled hard all match.
