Concert promoter Clint Pease announced in January a plan to revive the once-popular event held over decades in the Cataract Gorge; albeit in a stripped-down acoustic format with local acts mingling with national headline artists.
Mr Pease said the one-day ticketed event would be held twice a year.
It would be capped at 2000 people to obey a provision set by the Cataract Gorge Advisory Committee.
Mr Pease said a production meeting to discuss event logistics was held at the Gorge last Wednesday.
He said an event plan and associated risk assessment was aimed to be provided to the committee in time for its scheduled meeting next month.
He said an event date that fitted in with desired touring artists and Launceston's event calendar was still being considered.
