Tristan Andrew Tuthill, 27, pleaded not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court yesterday to one count of assault.
The charge arose from an incident in Launceston on September 22 last year.
Magistrate Simon Brown committed Mr Tuthill to stand trial in the Launceston Supreme Court on April 28 at 10am.
Mr Tuthill also faces charges of two counts of assault with indecent intent and one count of aggravated sexual assault.
He is yet to enter pleas to these allegations, arising from a separate incident, and will face the Magistrates Court again on April 24 at 9.45am.
