Jordan Charles Garcie, 19, was sentenced to four months' jail, with two months suspended for two years, by Launceston Magistrate Simon Brown on February 12.
He faced the Launceston Supreme Court this morning to apply for bail.
Justice Robert Pearce granted Garcie bail.
He will face court again on March 17 at 10am.
