Michael is a former federal police office and semi-retired businessman who has lived in the Franklin electorate for 30 years. He spends much of his time as a volunteer business mentor, passing on his many years of experience to businesses state-wide.

A committed family man, Michael is also a prominent member of his local community. His many roles have included division governor at Toastmasters in Tasmania, secretary of Sandy Bay Rotary Club and he was also Apexian of the Year.
Michael is passionate about crime, corruption and making politicians accountable. He is equally passionate about getting Tasmania back on its feet.
“The state of Tasmania is currently living beyond its means,” Michael said.
“Change is desperately needed here in Tasmania otherwise we could find ourselves in the same situation that Greece faced recently.
“We have to stand up for ourselves and get industry and business working so we can get people working.
“Palmer United can restore confidence and motivate business by making it easier for businesses to operate successfully. Slashing red tape would be a great starting point.

“I’m a real person; I have a family; I live here; I’m involved in the community; I’m involved in business and I want to bring those skills and my experience to state government,” he said.
