He lists small business, energy, the environment, forestry, housing, science transport, water, roads and health as his major areas of interest.
Con enjoys being an active member of his community and was an inaugural member of the organising committee for Hobart’s Greek Estia festival. He also helped found a local soccer club which went on to claim silverware in its first season.
Having travelled extensively both home and abroad, Con is well-placed to compare Tasmania’s predicament with other Australian states.
“I’ve seen a lot of Australia and I know how the rest of the country lives, which only serves to highlight Tasmania’s plight,” Con said.
“Small business is a passion of mine and if we can get small business going again in Tasmania we can fight back from the position we’re in at the moment.
“Our current politicians are uninspiring and uninspired. They are career politicians who have been there too long and are out of touch with ordinary working class men and women.
“We are on the verge of an economic catastrophe and the major parties appear oblivious to the danger we are in. It’s time for a major rethink for Tasmania and that means a change of government is needed.”
