I moved to Hobart in 1994 where I live in the Franklin electorate with my family on three acres where we are busy establishing an organic orchard and vegetable garden.
Due to growing up in a single parent household, being a young single mum myself, as well as from studying an education degree, I passionately support policies that will help families, sole parents and education.
I have worked in health related areas since 1984, have completed a business degree, worked as a National Sales Manager in a global medical company, and owned my own business.
I have been involved in many community organisations, including Business Enterprise Centres, Neighbourhood Houses, Prison Fellowship, School Councils and a Community Legal Centre.
I understand, and will fight for the issues that affect Tasmanian’s, particularly health, education, unemployment, the environment, the rising cost of living and the struggle to make ends meet. Other issues I feel strongly about include family breakdown, aged care, child abuse, raising teenagers and caring for loved ones with disabilities.
I have the qualifications, experience and determination to improve education, health, aged care, disability services, unemployment rates and will fight for my community’s benefit. Thank you for your No. 1 vote, so together we can change Franklin for a brighter future.
