I have seen a noisy minority cause detrimental outcomes for too many small businesses, workers and families. This is unacceptable. It is also unsustainable.
We need to stand up and make sure that this minority does not dictate our future
Although I have Tasmanian heritage, I did not grow up in here. My working life had been centred in Sydney where I worked in senior roles in the finance and stockbroking industries for almost a decade. A desire for a more fulfilling life saw me move here four years ago and I have unashamedly fallen in love with Tasmania. The sense of pride and belonging I have for this region was unexpected, but I have embraced life here and I want the people of Northern Tasmania to have a better future.
My skill and experience are well suited to playing an active role in achieving a better future for Tasmania. I have a chemical engineering degree and a commerce degree and therefore know how to analyse problems and seek solutions. The practical ‘can do’ attitude of an engineer coupled with the sound commercial fundamentals.
I want to play an active role in implementing the change that is so desperately needed to restore economic confidence, social vibrancy and, most importantly, jobs.
