Heather is a successful small business woman and accountant who was elected to Clarence City Council in 2009. She moved to Tasmania in 1999 to establish Qew Orchards – growing apricots near Richmond in the Coal River Valley.

In between running her small business, Heather volunteers her time as President of A Fairer World, educating and empowering students and the wider community on social justice, peace and a sustainable world future. She is also a member of Rotary, is on the SecondBite advisory group and uses her accountancy skills as Treasurer for Eastern Shore Meals on Wheels and the Asthma Foundation of Tasmania.
