Darryl was born at Wynyard and grew up on a farm at Rocky Cape. He is 58 years old and is married with two grown up daughters.
He has had a range of jobs in the mining and manufacturing sectors and currently works on a dairy farm at Smithton, after being made redundant from McCain Foods after 20 years of service.
Darryl has also served as workplace delegate at McCain Foods and spoke out on behalf of workers and their families following its closure
