The number of loans increased by four in trend terms, the ABS reported, but fell 7.3 per cent in seasonally adjusted terms.
Nationally, the number of loans approved fell 1.9 per cent, seasonally adjusted.
Total housing finance by value rose 0.2 per cent in December, seasonally adjusted, to $27.050 billion, the ABS said today.
