The Australian Bureau of Statistics figures for December 2013 shows that retail spending was up 1 per cent in trend terms.
The increase in Tasmania follows a rise nationally of 0.6 per cent in trend terms with NSW up 0.7 per cent, Victoria up 0.7 per cent, Queensland 0.4 per cent, WA 0.6 per cent, South Australia 0.2 per cent, the ACT 0.5 per cent and the Northern Territory 0.1 per cent.
