The Biggest Biggest Game of Cricket will run as part of the Ricky Ponting Tribute Game on January 30 and give children a chance to learn cricket skills.
About 900 participants, ranging from five to 12 years old, will be split into age groups and play across Invermay Park and Aurora Stadium.
Cricket Tasmania game development officer Alex Guy said NTCA players, Cricket Australia representatives and plenty of Cricket Tasmania workers from throughout the state would be on board to ensure the day ran smoothly.
"It'll be a big thrill being on Aurora Stadium," Guy said.
All proceeds from the game will support the Ponting Foundation's Biggest Game of Cricket fund-raiser for distribution to the Tasmanian health system to support all Tasmanian children with cancer and their families.
