Westerhof will meet Victorian Aaron Leederchard in his quarter-final today after both players won their round of 16 matches in three sets.
Westerhof was too good for Queenslander Jack Jaede winning 4-6, 6-0, 6-1.
Leederchard overcame New South Wales player Brandon Vescio, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6.
In the upset of the day Queensland's Lachlan McPhee defeated the men's No. 3 seed Gavin Van Peperzel in three sets 6-3, 6-7, 6-4.
In the women's draw, the Czech Republic's No. 1 seed Zuzana Zlochova, ranked 321 in the world, was too good for West Australian Karis Ryan winning 6-3, 6-2.
Zlochova will meet Victoria Nives Baric in her quarter-final.
Women's No. 2 seed, Viktorija Rajicic, of Victoria, ranked No. 10 nationally, beat her Tasmanian opponent Catherine Krueger, of Hobart, 6-4, 6-1.
Men's and women's quarter and semi-finals will be played today at the LRTC from 8.30am today with spectators welcome.
``We had a really good standard today and if anyone would like to come down, entry is completely free,'' tournament director Trent Constance said.
