Oldfield, 26, dominated the Olympic distance 1.5-kilometre swim, 40-kilometre ride and 10-kilometre run course to win the female elite category in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 13 seconds - three minutes ahead of Grace Deveson.
``The race is the only Olympic distance triathlon held in Melbourne this year so it was good to come away with a win,'' she said.
``It was pretty tough as I have just come off a few weeks of training at Falls Creek.
``I just wanted to go in and have a hit-out before a big half-ironman I am doing in two weeks in Melbourne.''
The university student has been on the rebound from stress fractures in both her femurs 18 months ago, but said she is fitter and stronger than ever before.
Oldfield is moving to Adelaide next month to finish university after being based in Melbourne.
She won the Victorian Olympic distance triathlon championships at Yarrawonga in October and finished second in the Canberra Ironman 70.3 held before Christmas.
