Nine-year-old Callum, is one of the nominees in the MLC Tennis Hot Shot of the Year competition.
The competition recognises and rewards a Hot Shots participant each month who best demonstrates the spirit of tennis through their participation, enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game.
Each of the nominees has been rewarded with a VIP trip to the Australian Open, an equipment pack and an iPod Touch.
While in Melbourne the lucky nominees will attend an official MLC Tennis Hot Shots awards night at the Melbourne Zoo, play on Rod Laver Arena and watch superstars of the game battle it out on court.
"I can't wait! It's going to be a once in a lifetime experience," Callum said.
"Our coaches have been teaching us lots of different tennis skills this year, so to watch the best players in the world will be amazing."
The overall Hot Shot of the Year winner, chosen from the 12 monthly nominees, will receive $5000 thanks to MLC, one year of free tennis coaching and a visit from Hot Shot's ambassador Alicia Molik to their local tennis club for a private lesson with three friends.
MLC Tennis Hot Shots is Tennis Australia's official development program specifically designed for primary school- aged children.
In the past 12 months, more than 500,000 kids have enjoyed a Hot Shots experience at more than 1000 venues across the country.
