The Launceston City Council's first Music in the Park for 2014 went ahead today, despite inclement weather.
Stolen Moments and Mayne Chance cast their sounds from the park's band rotunda as about 20 people watched on.
Co-ordinator Theresa Sutczak said the concerts are fun family events.
``People can bring their chairs and picnics, let their children run around in a safe environment while enjoying the music,'' she said.
``A few people braved the weather today, which is fantastic and we have had lots of tourists walk past and stop to have a listen.''
