With a strong interest in rural affairs and the land early on in his life, Eric graduated with an Associate Diploma in Wool & Fibre Marketing from “The Gordon” in Geelong in 1986. Eric was employed for 12 years in Melbourne as an exporter and trader with Nissho Iwai (Aust) Ltd, buying, trading and exporting wool from Australia around the globe.
For the past 12 years Eric has been employed by Roberts Limited (division of Ruralco Holdings) as Marketing Manager within the Wool Department in Tasmania.
As a father of two young sons, Eric understands the cost of living pressures facing families. His experience working in business means Eric knows why cutting red tape is so important. Eric also knows first-hand the challenges facing rural property owners.
As a part of a Liberal team, Eric wants to use his experience to reduce cost of living pressures on families by scrapping the carbon tax, support small business by cutting red tape, and create more job security.
