An ambulance carrying a patient in cardiac arrest has been involved in a collision with a four-wheel drive on the Brooker Highway in Hobart earlier today.
The patient died, however, Ambulance Tasmania said the death was not related to the collision, which occurred at a roundabout.
One paramedic suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries while a further two ambulances officers received minor injuries.
Two ambulances were called and two of the paramedics were taken to Royal Hobart Hospital.
The south-bound lane of the Brooker Highway has been blocked following the collision about 3.10pm.
Traffic is moving but delays are to be expected.
The deceased patient was picked up from a Hobart GP clinic suffering a heart attack, Ambulance Tasmania said.
