The protest, led by Scott Jordan, was staged outside the Tasmanian Minerals Conference at Wrest Point Casino today and was aimed at Federal Environment Minister Tony Burke.
``Tony Burke has failed the Tarkine, he's failed the Australian people in not listing that area,'' Mr Jordan said.
Mr Jordan said their campaign would include political and corporate action, as well as ``direct action on the site''.
``If these miners want to turn up and want to start trying to dig holes in the Tarkine, we'll be there, and our intent will be to stop it,'' Mr Jordan said.
Bob Brown and Vica Bayley were among the protesters, despite sitting on opposite sides of the forestry peace deal agreement.
Several protesters later crashed a press conference staged by Opposition mining spokesman Braddon MHA Adam Brooks.
