Light rainfall overnight has reduced the intensity of bushfires burning around the state.
However the Tasmanian Fire Service said not enough rain fell to contain the fires or reduce dangerous fire conditions over the next month.
A small fire which ignited yesterday afternoon at Pipers Brook has now been contained.
The state’s two worst fires, at Molesworth and Gretna in the South, have also eased considerably.
However eight power lines are down at the Gretna fire and Bluff Road remains closed.
The fire service has also warned motorists in the area to be aware of loose livestock roaming in the area.
