The 14-month-old colt, from Alwyn Shaw's Whitemore stud, was the star attraction of yesterday's Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearlings Sale.
The bidding was fierce for the thoroughbred, which is the first offspring of sire All American and the maiden foal of Belong To Me mare Whitemore Dynasty.
The bidding started at $10,000 and quickly escalated to reach the winning bid of $45,000.
Half the proceeds were donated to the Salvation Army's Tasmanian bushfire appeal.
Mr Shaw said he was happy with the result. ``He's gone to Star Thoroughbreds in New South Wales, which is run by a Tasmanian family,'' he said.
``Denise Martin was the winning bidder and she is from a well-known family in Devonport and they've done a lot for Tasmania.
``It's a fair price for what is a difficult time in Tasmania and the money has gone to a good place.''
Salvation Army division representative Glenn Smith said it was a phenomenal opportunity for the charity to be able to pass on the proceeds to the people who needed it the most.
``It can be anyone next and these funds will be greatly appreciated,'' Lieutenant Smith said.
