The TCL T20 champion was too strong for NTCA T20 premier Riverside, sailing to a comprehensive six-wicket win at Trevallyn Oval.
After being sent in to bat on what would have been an unfamiliar synthetic wicket for the turf players, Riverside made 174 from its 20 overs and looked hard to beat.
Blues wicketkeeper Tom Hay made 40 off 25 balls opening the batting, while Ramesh Sundra made a strong 50 off 34 - only to be run out via a direct hit by Brett Martin.
Middle-order batsman Nick Garwood boosted the away side's total with a fast-paced 39 off 17 balls including four sixes late in the innings.
Trevallyn's bowlers shared the wickets, with Shannon Rumbel the only multiple wicket-taker, claiming 2-9 off two overs.
Trevallyn looked in an uncomfortable position at 4-76 at the nine-over mark during its run chase, only to be saved by an a near 100-run partnership between Matty Cocker (50 not out off 35 balls) and Wayne Ford (62 not out off 27) to get home in 17.4 overs.
Ford smashed seven massive sixes and two fours to boost the match tally to 18 sixes and 27 fours.
Alex Kerrison had Riverside's best bowling figures with 2-22 off three overs.
Victorious captain-coach Damian Whybrow said it was a great all-round performance from his side.
``It was an awesome chase . . . we have worked on building partnerships all year and that has been the best part of our side this year,'' he said.
The match also doubled as a Tasmanian bushfire appeal fund-raiser.
