DESPITE a horror stretch of failed programs, financial woes and savage cuts to its news department, Ten Network is tipped to dominate this year's TV Week Logie Awards.

Although voting is yet to close for this year's awards - to be held in April - its likely success is evident in the results of a readers' poll on the popular TV Tonight blog.
Much like the Golden Globes are a harbinger of Oscars glory, the blog's awards are a predictor of Logies victory. In the two years since TV Tonight launched its poll, almost a dozen winning programs and personalities have subsequently won a Logie.
In the 2012 TV Tonight Awards, published on Tuesday, half the gongs went to Ten Network programs.
Ten's winners include Offspring (best Australian drama), Homeland (best international drama, best new international show), Modern Family (best international comedy), The Project (best light entertainment), Before the Game (best sports show or coverage), The Living Room (best lifestyle) and Puberty Blues (best new Australian show - a joint winner with Nine's House Husbands.) Offspring star Asher Keddie was named favourite female and is a strong contender for the Gold Logie.
TV Tonight editor David Knox said the results were surprising.
''Ten's shows and personalities are still connecting with viewers despite a clear discontent with the network's performance,'' he said. ''The audience is able to discern between the shows they like while still whacking the network for its managerial mess. It's actually a ray of hope for Ten.''
Hamish Blake and Shaun Micallef are also Gold Logie favourites after jointly winning TV Tonight's favourite male award.
The national broadcaster did well with ABC1's A Moody Christmas (best Australian comedy), 7.30 (best news, current affairs or public affairs program), Q&A (best talk show) and ABC3's Dance Academy (best children's show).
Other winners include Seven's Sunrise (best morning program); Nine's The Voice (best Australian reality show) and Survivor (best international reality show); and SBS One's Go Back to Where You Came from (best factual, documentary or observational program).
Knox says The Living Room win may threaten Seven's ''stranglehold'' of the Logies lifestyle category with its Better Homes and Gardens program, which has won 10 times since 1996.
