Football Federation Tasmania chief executive John Boulous announced this morning that an agreement had been made with Melbourne Victory to support the Tasmanians affected by last week's fires.
Mr Boulous said that the federation hoped to raise $25,000 for the appeal.
``The sport of football has a social responsibility at times like these,'' Mr Boulous said.
``Saturday's match is a chance for fans to show support for Tasmanians in need.''
Mr Boulous said that he was hoping for a crowd of between 8 and 10,000 for the top-of-the-table clash.
