We are excited to be currently searching for a strategic and wellness orientated Workplace Safety & Wellness Manager to complement our highly talented people experience team based on the Gold Coast, QLD. This is a key leadership role helping to shape our outstanding workplaces across the Asia Pacific Region.
How You’ll Shine
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Human Resources, Brand Communications & Customer Experience, the role is primarily responsible for elevating our wellness and work health and safety strategy for our operations, spanning across nine countries. We have a well-established risk management and employee wellbeing framework, however the ideal candidate will have sights set on elevating our strategic focus, with an innate desire to implement meaningful outcomes to proactively maintain our safe workplaces whilst maintaining an eye on management and mitigation of risk. A natural people partner will thrive in our work environment that is highly collaborative.
No two days are ever the same, however key duties of the role include:
To facilitate the achievement of our Strategic Plan by driving a workplace culture of safety and wellness
To partner with all areas of the business across the Region to build a culture of wellness and safety-first culture across our workplaces.
Ensure company compliance with laws and regulations throughout the Region and keep abreast of changes to relevant laws and regulations in the Region.
To provide and present reports to Senior Leadership Team and Board.
Identify risks to workplace health and wellness and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while balancing our commercial interests.
Continually and proactively monitor, review and improve workplace safety and wellness policies, practices and systems.
Support, mentor and guide our human resources and operational teams in managing audit, risk, hazard identification and injury management practices.
Provide leadership that encourages business leaders and teams to create a continuous improvement safety culture and implement preventative injury strategy, wellness objectives and KPIs across the Region
Manage, develop and actively promote our “Be Well” wellbeing strategy.
