About the Firm:

We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join our firm. 

The Role is suitable for a growth-seeking and self-motivated candidate.

 The position provides plenty of opportunities to be  'hands-on' and will involve direct Prospect Handling, client involvement, and a great degree of autonomy.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Financial Statements and tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies and SMSF (Desirable);
• Assisting clients in relation to tax planning
• Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies on behalf of clients
• Training and Mentoring role for client's accounting, bookkeeping, admin staff and supervision of Graduate Accountants and staff
• Vital to this role is the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and your team.

Essential Skills

To be considered for this role you must have experience with the above and the must have the following attributes as well:

• 3 to 5 years of stable local experience in a similar role with staff supervision
• The attitude, ability, and willingness to work in a team-based environment
• Experience with the Australian Taxation system
• Experience using Karbon, Suitfiles, BGL Simplefund, MYOB, Xero, Practice Management software
• Be proactive, ambitious & driven to succeed
