A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Sous Chef to join a professional team at this leading Five Star Luxury Hotel.  

This Hotel presents an excellent career opportunity to be part of a team to provide a fantastic Food experience exceeding guest expectations.

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with the supervision of the Kitchen.

This is a “hands-on” role playing a key part technically and in the day-to-day kitchen operations.

You will be a skilled chef & natural communicator, with exceptional interpersonal & organisational capabilities, who can take direction, execute the vision and is able to provide consistent support to the success of this Five star hotel.

Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrated culinary expertise. We want a Sous Chef with creativity and passion to help them produce amazing cuisine and enhance the overall dining experience for their customers.
  
Level of skill, Experience and Attributes

  • Prior experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef De Partie in high quality properties/restaurants
  • Passion for culinary trends essential
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted and respectful work relationships
  • Confident in providing input to the Executive Chef, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
  • Understanding of Food Safety and impeccable hygiene practices
  • Assist with the management of departmental Health & Safety
  • Understanding of stock control and experience with menu planning essential
  • Accuracy and an "eye for detail" and a great palate
  • Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including afternoons, weekends, and public holidays
  • Excellent attention to detail and a great palate.
  • Adaptable to changing situations while maintaining the highest quality of product and other established standards.
