The opportunity

We are looking to hire a talented Payroll Specialist to join our team as a Senior Consultant. Working closely with our offshore team, you will provide an advisory service on payroll matters in this client facing role. In this exciting new offering, you will have the opportunity to establish, improve and implement new procedures and processes, whilst building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

Drawing on your skills and experience in Payroll and supporting the Senior Manager Payroll Operate Services, you will advise clients on their payroll processing, procedures and queries. This will include payroll set-up, payroll checking, reconciliation and compliance, whilst utilising our offshore team to ensure client requirements are met. Working across multiple projects and clients, you will have the opportunity to build and execute new processes.

• Ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
• Business process improvement and quality management experience
• Adaptability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
• Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple clients
• Delegates and prioritises effectively, coaching others in how to anticipate, define and solve problems
• Proactive and able to identify and resolve problems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

To qualify for the role you must have

• Previous experience in high volume full function payroll
• Leadership experience
• Experience using a large scale ERP
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
• Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A payroll related diploma/certificate may be advantageous, but not necessary
• Extensive and varied payroll software experience
• Preceda payroll software experience
• Payroll implementation experience
