Machine Operator

Our client based in Wetherill Park within the Steel reinforcement industry, is a 100 per cent Australian owned and operated business with service centres along the east coast of Australia. They are seeking individuals that want to be part of a dedicated team of people who share a common set of values.

The role requires the successful candidate to work as a Machine Operator in the Workshop.

Your duties will include:

• Machine Operation- Shearers and benders
• Gantry Crane operation
• Operating steel bending and cutting machinery on steel, mesh, and bar products
• Organising orders for pickup
• Load and unload tucks
• Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the product
• Manual Handling
• Following site safety procedures and protocols

Essential criteria:

• Previous experience working within a busy environment
• Experience working as a machine operator an advantage
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Have a can-do mindset.
• Work safely and add value to the OHS culture
• Have a willingness to learn and develop
• Ability to pass drug and Alcohol test
