Psychologist – Consultant/Senior Consultant

The opportunity

We are looking for junior psychologists interested in improving work health and safety (WHS) outcomes for our clients and their people, through the application of psychology and neuroscience principles. As a Consultant/Senior Consultant based in either Sydney, Perth or Melbourne (on either a full or part-time basis) you will ideally have experience in psychosocial risk assessment and management, organisational behaviour change,  learning and development, and strategy design.

You will work with our national Health and Safety team to support our broad range of clients in Oceania to understand and address their health and safety challenges and strategically help them to advance their performance. You will work closely with our team leaders and clients to design and implement the right solution based on their specific needs using better practice methods.

Your key responsibilities

You will work as part of a leading and multidisciplinary team (that includes other psychologists, allied health professionals, engineers, scientists, and WHS experts) across a range of industries, assisting organisations to transform how they approach health and safety. You will contribute to health and safety engagements involving psychosocial risk management, strategy, analytical frameworks, culture change and leadership to help clients succeed and navigate complex operating and regulatory environments.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Minimum of two years of health and safety or psychology experience in either professional services/consulting, industry or a clinical setting.
  • Contemporary view of health and safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive approach to take initiative and identify new opportunities.
  • Experience working well as part of a team.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships including client management.
  • The ability to travel intra and interstate as required.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, organisational development, neuroscience, health and safety or business will be highly regarded.

What we offer

  • Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
  • Continuous learning: personalised career development including coaching, experiences and formal learning so you’ll develop the mindset and skills you’ll need to thrive in the future.
  • Diverse and inclusive culture: You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.

At EY, you’ll be rewarded and recognised based on your performance and our comprehensive benefits package can be tailored to your individual needs.

We hold a collective commitment to foster an environment where all differences are valued and respected, practices are equitable and everyone experiences a sense of belonging. If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process in order to equitably participate, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application via contactrecruitment@au.ey.com or  phone +61 3 8650 7788 (option 4).
