They made the most of their opportunities in front of the net with Monique Moore and Lillian Gates providing drive up front.
Suns played a strong second half, keeping Marians scoreless, and earned a consolation goal to Nic Symonds after much hard work by Amy Dawber, Georgie Daly, and Lauren Buchanan.
Devonport ground out a hard-fought 2-1 win over Launceston City-Tamar Churinga with a late winner. Kaylee Demarco made her presence known for LCTC, well supported by Lucy Murgatroyd in defence, and Caitlyn Badcock causing headaches in their attacking circle.
However, it wasn't enough to shut down a dominant Kaylah Rataj who controlled the centre and scored a goal for her efforts, ably supported by Mackenzie Emmerton.
Queechy continued their dominant run with a 2-0 win over South Burnie. Sarah McRobbie was dominant, supporting Brooke Whitmore who scored twice for Queechy.
Melissa Scolyer controlled the Burnie backline, and Jenifer Phillips was strong up front, but they weren't able to convert their chances.
West Devonport took home the points with a 6-0 win over Smithton. Young striker Caitlin French was dynamic in the circle, setting up goals for West's five individual scorers, with Angela McAuliffe bagging a double.
Smithton were valiant in defence, with Melissa Stokes working hard and Zoe Groves providing their play up front.
Queechy managed to hold on for a 4-2 win over an under-manned, but strong South Burnie.
Burnie were still in the hunt with three minutes to go with solid midfield play and a goal by Brent Jago, but a late Queechy goal put the result beyond doubt with Evan Lawrence typically dangerous in attack and Eric Gubesch standing strong in defence.
South Launceston showed why they are the competition benchmark with an 11-0 thumping of a depleted City Marians outfit. Usual suspect Kurt Budgeon bagged himself five goals with Brad Buchanan scoring another two in his best on ground effort.
Burnie keeper Jaiden Luke did his best to keep out the persistent Suns' attack, with Adam Lamprey pressuring the Suns defence, but it wasn't enough to prevent an eight-goal second half.
Launceston City's juniors provided the intensity needed for their 2-1 win over Devonport. David Fish and rising star Kaleb Nielsen each scored for City, with C-Jay Denman holding strong.
Brad Menzies provided a strong attack for Devonport while Mick Williams controlled their defence, but both sides were kept goalless in the second half.
Burnie Baptist showed their attacking skill in a 7-1 defeat of Smithton. Despite the strong Smithton defence of Nigel Kingston and Andrew Ollington, who also scored their single goal, Baptist were able to score five goals in the second half, with Khan Riley, and Braden and Keenan Johnson each scoring doubles.
