The dynasty that started with Peter Savill’s side in 2016 and continued with Chris Gallo in 2018 also won the Strikers’ sixth statewide title in a history that stretches back seven decades.

A late surge had City back from 4-2 down against Hobart Zebras to level the scores six minutes from time. 

Zebras held on for a 4-4 home draw to finish the season two points ahead of City.

Jez Kenth’s side has since dropped from top spot down to fourth inside the final nine rounds after also not losing a game until 12 rounds in.
